The lodens update

I cannot believe how big John David is!!!! Joane you look so cute prego! Can't wait for #2 to arrive, then you all to get to UT!!!!

*don't worry the date on the camera is way off, these are recent*

Delta trip and pictures

So this Monday we woke up early and headed to Delta! We arrived a bit later than the rest of the family who all met at Grandpa's burial site and spent some time, but our trip was on the spur of the moment so we were late for the events. We got there a little after 1pm, when the BBQ began. Michelle, Val, Sherie, Doug, Sara, Sam, Valinda and Grandma J was there... then us of course!

They BBQ'ed hot dogs and had lots of chips dips and fruits! Adlanna loved the watermelon, and made a mess of her dress, but that's OK. After visiting and eating Adlanna found the red wagon and so aunt Valinda pulled her around the yard a bit, then uncle Val had his turn pulling Adlanna around, she couldn't get enough of the wagon rides!!!

She loved the flowers around the yard and ran back and forth smelling each one and picking them. Until daddy taught her to smell them and say EWWWWWWWWW.
Grammy Sherie got her to "pound" which she loves! She says flowers if I didn't already tell you, and Sara told her her name and as soon as Sara wasn't paying attention to her anymore she said SARA.

Adlanna soon figured out how to get the cooler open and stole ice cubes to feed the dog, one after another after another until Jetta didn't want anymore. HA HA HA.

After everyone packed up and left we ran to Grammy Sherie's house. We got some purple Salvia plants to transplant to our yard, played with giant bubbles and little bubbles, ran through the sprinklers, Adlanna ate some grape fruit from grampy Doug which turned her into his little shadow following him around the yard and copying everything he did. it was cute and I know Doug just couldn't stop smiling!

Grammy took some photos of Adlanna on the wagon, which was fun! (and the rest of us... this is the best shot your'all getting of the belly so stop asking!)

Why is Adlanna always in tank tops you ask... Well because all of her bigger clothes that fit don't have tags sewn inside to block the tagless tags from touching her back and making her break out and since my machine has been in the shop I haven't found time to do it, now the machine is back but the dang thing wont sew through 1 layer of flannel... so I might have to start hand sewing a million tags .. :( GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

WOW that belly is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went in and ate some food and then headed off back to Cedar. We made it home after dark in the rain, it was pouring!!!

Adlanna also learned how to Eskimo kiss, and doggie kiss. She says SORRY which is so dang cute! and Mine, yesterday she said ALL GONE plain as day! She is becoming quite the little helper and always wants to be included!

GD update:

I am officially annoyed! I am keeping a journal right... and adding up EVERY single thing I eat... (it's honestly easier than I thought and easier then it sounds because my mind is made up that it's best for the baby so i'm really not all that tempted, despite chris telling me i can take a bite here or there HA HA or despite my MIL temptimg me with SMORE (my fav) or chocolate pie over the weekend. JK)

Anyway, I might rant a little so hold on or skip ahead!

So I am being tight, I have 45carbs some meals and I only reach 36-39 most of the time, So basically I am ALWAYS under on my carbs, if I dont know an item I guess high to cover my butt. I do admit some meals it might be crap like pizza but it STILL is under my carb limit. ok with that said it's always the pizzaa meals that i'm low and the chicken breasts and veggies (just examples) that i'm high. It does not make one bit of sense to me and it's very frusterating!!!!!!!

Finally I decided that maybe I have too much fat in the diet that its holding the numbers high... so this morning I called the dietician (but the lady I have been working with is out of town) to see if someone could tell me a fat content I should be shooting for... to see if that help. Because I have my OB appointment on Monday and I don't want the Dr. giving up and just putting me on medicine especially if it's something I just didn't understand and am doing wrong!

So I got the sweetest lady ever CINDY who told me I could come in today if I wanted for her to see my diet journal and tell me what it might be... however if i have only been 12 (132 instead of <120) points high EVER and I am only over 1 meal a day or less then i'm fine and the OB should be fine. (although she did point out that my specific OB is pretty picky and might disagree!)

But all the stress about getting a high number no matter what I do like basically once a day.. is Very frusterating, and when its dinner and I am suppose to excersize when its dark... That's HARD because I am not about to walk around the block or 3 alone in the dark and Chris can't join me because the baby is asleep. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.........

Anyway I just wanted to say its easy to follow the diet but hard when the diet isn't working! Enough said, I have things to do today and i'm deciding if i want to run in and have her look at the diet, but since she was so nice and got me in tears *(YES I'M PREGO!!!!) then i'm not sure it's worth going in and until my OB really isn't ok... so maybe just monday I will know.

*besides I think he should be fine, because normally someone wouldn't know they are GD and even TRY the diet until 28weeks along and that's not a lot of time before baby is here and I am only 23weeks so I think he should be fine.*

Love you all, sorry to end on a downer... OH I can fix that, I have updated pics from Joane I am going to be posting and I am going to stay at my sisters house on Monday after the appointment for a week to go do fun things with all the kids since they are out of school, carnivals and such! YEAH!!!! a mini vacation might ease some stress.

The Shed: The real work begins.

This weekend was AMAZINGLY CRAZY! and for the record, I HATE that blogger loads pics funny, every time I think I got it figured out they switch it or they load wrong, so I give up! hopefully you'll be able to follow along anyway...

Friday night Chris and I prepped the site... we cleared everything and drilled holes in the base boards. Then Early Saturday morning we started pulling the rest of the supplies to the back yard and Chris and Adlanna started the first wall. The neighbor Randy who is a plumber poked his head over the fence got this excited look on his face and said I used to Frame I'll be over in a second! He was excited like a little boy at Christmas! Which was just in time to help lift the first wall up and set it.

s

They took off and got the second wall up in no time!!!

(these next few are Adlanna doing the actions to itsy bitsy spider, one of her favorites!)

and clapping for herself afterwards!

The third wall went up FASTER because they waited to put the plywood on it, until after it was up! Then my mom and dad arrived around 1pm to help! They got the plywood attached and then the rains started, which was fine for like 45min... then it POURED... I meant to take a pic of the pool or wheelbarrow to show you how much we finally got, it was surprising! So we all ran inside to take cover... But we were hungry too so we set out to dinner at TEXAS ROAD HOUSE in St. George and then to run a few errands.

The food was yummy of course... and it is always fun to go out with family. We ran to Target afterwards to exchange something and ended up walking through and finding some KILLER clearance deals...including a vacuum!!! and the outfit we are going to bring Jennalee home in. Then over to Lowe's, where they had security doors clearanced for 59 bucks, we finally decided against, but when we were loading into the car in the parking lot my Cousin Josh walked up and said hello. Which is funny because I was just telling my mom that they just had their 3 baby on Thurs. and were here in town... so to run into him was funny!

Saturday: Chris was out by 8am, starting the work back on the shed. Randy popped his head over and said "I'll be right over!" HA HA HA
My parents showed up a little bit later and all the hard work began! They ended up finishing the 4Th wall and then started on the Roof before we realized we were short wood for the roof and went on a trip to Home depot to get more... Well the boys went to HD the girls went grocery shopping at Walmart, then to grab lunch to bring back for the HARD WORKING MEN.

I heard "oh this roof will be done in about an hour, then we will be done for the day" a few times, then 2 .5 hrs later they were still working at it...

Grandpa's helper

my apple tree has little balls of fun!

CHOO CHOO

Finished for the weekend

So Finally we were finished for the weekend it was like 4pm on Sunday... We somehow ended up with BROWN rain gutter stuff that we have to put up first before putting shingles on... so we have to wait until Tuesday (when the store is open) to switch it for tan or black to match our house! DUH silly guys putting the order together.. who wants brown metal with black singles...

So the rest of the night we had a bbq and ate food and visited. Adlanna was sure entertaining she copied a lot of new words and had giggling fits playing with PA AND MA... (which is what she learned to call them... we were teaching her grandma and grandpa and she would just say PA and MA...)

The outfit!

My dad coloring with Adlanna
my new VAC!!!! I love clearance!!!!
Do you think he is tired?

We got to bed early everyone was exhausted!!! In the morning Chris slept in, and my parents took off to head home early since we couldn't do anything else shedwise... and we had a million reasons to get to delta which we were going to do next weekend, but since we will now be roofing next weekend we ran to Delta on the spur of the moment. we left at 10:30am. Delta story and pics to follow. :)

A few random notes not pertaining to the weekend:

Adlanna got a dang cute swimming suit in the mail from Aunt Josie, I will be taking pics of her in it and posting those later this week when the backyard is clean and we can swim again... she sells them on her Etsy site which is :HERE

The GD is interesting... and frusterating... its easier to find things to eat now that i'm getting used to everything, but if my levels are high I freak out a little and run out for a walk or whatever barefoot because I am nervouse and want to get those numbers back down... sad to say I think they are high too often!!! Especially for sticking to the diet so well, might I add! The poking is easier I hurry and just do it and not think about it... so that's easier.

Joane announced that she will be spending nearly the entire month of July here in UT ... which will mean she will have her 2weekish old with her... so we have to plan a week/end to go up and see her in July, of course I am VERY excited!!!
