Valentines day was fantastic this year! (especially remembering the morning sickness I had last V-day!)
Chris' phone rang at like 10am on Saturday morning and when he got off the phone I asked who it was. He said my mom they have stuff to come look at in Cedar so Doug and her are coming down. They will be here in two hours. So I said cool.
Moving on... Chris took Adlanna out on a daddy daughter date (his idea) to the pet store to wander through. It was cute and they had fun, she came back all happy as can be to tell me about the animals.
So I asked Chris so are they coming straight here first or going to look at the stuff first. he said our house, and I asked so you think Doug wants you to go with them to look and he said no. and I said so you know for SURE they are coming here first (I was in the middle of cleaning and laundry and bow orders) and he said yeah, Doug is dropping mom off she wants to babysit the kids.
DING *lightbulb goes on
OH (now I have to hurry and get ready to leave because if Grammy is babysitting I am obviously not staying home)
DING DONG!
WOW that was fast... so no time to do my makeup or anything yet....
HI grammy and grampy!
Immediatly Grampy starts playing with the alphabets magnets on the fridge and grammy comes in to talk. Chris then takes Doug outside to show him the shed and Grammy spills the beans "where you going on your date" (not sure what she really said but you get the jist)
AH HA! I knew it!
Seriously I must admit in the 5 1/2 years we have known eachother this is the BEST KEPT SECRET Chris has EVER kept from me! I think usually get is just too excited and makes some hints etc. and then I figure it out.
So Grammy watched the kids, Chris and I went on a date to Chili's (he wanted to do a movie too but our babysitter had a schedule) and doug went to look at a welder here in town.
We ate food, I had to complain to my waitress and so we got a discount off our bill but overall it was good, it was a nice little date, we ran shopping at staples... for what you ask... nothing... we just both love that store and don't get to enjoy it with kiddums. :P
We ended up finding a binder for my recipes, and some pens that Chris wanted and Chris found something for the girls for V-day (he doesn't shop much!)
Then I decided we should do our V-day early since I already got mine and well the whole weekend it was much more fun to have more time to play........ these......

Oh I should mention we got cupcake pops a few days earlier but I couldn't keep it a secret nor did I want to... so they were gone that night. I think it was Thursday...
**Sarandipity Sweets**Sunday we gave the girls their gifts from the daddy. Adlanna got a set of washable markers, and a dora aqua doodle type book that is awesome and she loves and will be perfect for traveling!
Jennalee got some teething rings (she chews on everything it might as well be teething rings instead of fabric that is furry YUCK!) and some chewable keys..
It was a lot of fun!
