20 months on Sat. and 19 weeks

On Saturday Adlanna will be 20months so I decided she has been doing so many new things lately I should update you. She is talking more and more and tries to copy nearly everything we say... She says: Night Night, Thank you (which she has said for a while but now she says it like 25times a day for everything and it's my fav!!!!) spoon, catch, what, sure.. Seriously she is saying everything these days! She also screams DA YEEEEEEEEEEE when daddy comes home.

With age she is getting into more and more trouble, she will not stay dressed... (the face she is pulling in the pic is because I told her it was naughty to take her clothes off, the outfit is right next to her, and the pink one in the background was from the day before DONT JUDGE) I hear a lot of people have this problem with their kids and at first it wasn't irritating but Yesterday we got up and hurried to get ready and eat so we could run important errands... from 8:40-9:00 AM she got naked twice, yep that's right I got her redressed because I knew i was in a hurry and she needed clothes on that early in the morning it's chilly outside... and she got undressed again it was maddening!!! I ended up zipping a jacket over her one piece outfit to get her to leave it on. Which is funny I have heard if she takes her diaper off that people use duct tape... you can't duct tape clothes on... But I suppose I am lucky she has consecutively been naked for 4-5 days straight now, within the hour I get her dressed and she has actually managed to leave her diaper alone the entire day long! WHHHEEEW! Oh, and don't forget that she is a girly girl, she leaves her accessories on, the anklets, bracelets (these are usually hair things she finds and puts around her ankles or wrists) hair bows, socks and shoes... SILLY GIRL!

She is more daring... so we took her high chair straps off to throw them in the washer they were getting gross, so she didn't have straps when she ate breakfast on Monday. The tray was on as tight as it could be and she didn't know she wasn't strapped in, anyway!!! I sat 2 feet behind her eating my breakfast and all of a sudden she is running around in the living room... She climbed out of the highchair and over the back of the couch...hmmmmmmmmmmmm AND I FORGOT TO MENTION she was so quiet I didn't see her DO any of it!
In fact, she climbed out a second time and this time she decided she wanted straight down, not onto the couch... I turned to see her hanging there and she dropped before I could do anything and she landed fine on her feet, but she cried... don't know if it hurt or just scared her... hmmmmmmmmmmmmthis morning with breakfast, she saw me with the camera taking pics of the rag quilt and made this face!

She can now tell you (100% of the time) what a Cow says.. she has learned what sheep say and she is learning chicken and horse... these two she has to be told a few times then remembers.

She is going to bed at 8pm, waking at 8am and taking a 2hr nap during the day around 1:30pm. (Which I really enjoy!!!)

Adlanna the last few days has refused to eat real food, she will eat things like fruit and yogurt but nothing for meals... its frustrating... A few days ago when she WAS eating she was VERY interested in my bowl of cereal, so I ate most of it and left a little milk and cereal in the bowl and gave it to her with a straw to drink the milk and showed her that's what it was for... and she ate it all and drank the milk, and wanted 2 more refills. It was cute. I want to get those bowls with straws attached since she seems big enough to use them now.

Chris' update: He is busy working at work... some days just making up jobs to keep the men busy and getting hours... Last week he had a HORRIBLE week problem after problem after problem... like broken things that cost money.. and although it's not Chris' money he stresses like it IS. This week he had two good things happen... 1. his least fav. worker who happens to make TOO much money and not KNOW enough (he's useless) quit... and 2. the boys ordered a plaque for the two bosses to show their appreciation for them... (Chris' and 1 other guys idea and funded it) So this week is going better... but most of the guys get sent to the new job they got in Page AZ so Chris and 1 guy will be the only ones on this Cedar job.. :) could be good, or bad.

BABY update:
So today I'm officially 19weeks pregnant... and boy does it not feel like it... HA HA I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD BE 6MONTHS!! why you ask... because this belly is taking over my body! Seriously I feel like it's HUGE!!!! I have my appointment on Monday we will see if I have gained weight and how much... *shaking my head* Anyway... the baby is either heavy enough or in the spot to kick my bladder... I have to go way too much already... I'm back to waking in the night JUST to go... which I thought the 2ND trimester this symptom gets better... hmmmmmmmmmmph!
I have finished making the baby her first blanket... it wasn't originally bought for this child... but it's cute and I want to keep it for her. I ordered my first item for the baby yesterday online from babysrus clearance... and we are trying to come up with a middle name for her.... I'm sure it will be in a poll one day when we have a few options we like...

Monday night Adlanna climbed up on my belly and hurt me, so I reminded her about the baby and she lifted my shirt, rubbed my belly, kissed my belly then started trying to say BABY really really loud... The second time she said it the baby kicked! HA HA it was so funny! I think she heard her big sister Adlanna. It put a grin on my face.

Random bad news: Yeah so a monthish ago I had my first giveaway on my coupon blog. It was 15$worth of gift cards, and a surprise... anyway I got an email yesterday that the lady still had not got my package... HOW RUDE... seriously too many packages go missing these days, it peeves me so much!!!!!!!!! So Now I am trying to come up with a replacement prize to send her although she insists I don't. I am bugged!!

Other news is that I ordered my 3rd blog book it was 280 pages which is more than double my 1st two books... and I'm working on my 4Th Which is already to 168... I'm up to the end of Jamaica...

Hope I didn't bore you!

It's a ....................

So today was the day!!! My parents showed up at 2pmish... and ran some errands then someone walks in my front door and I thought to myself that was fast, to get to walmart and back. and I see my neice Kaylah... So Brittanys family came down and suprised us! Then Sherie got here at like 6pm, the dinner was nearly done so we visited and talked and snacked.

Then we ate Steaks and dutch oven potatoes and oriental chicken salad, & Fluff, then we opened the card......................................

IT IS A............
GIRL!!!

Then we had strawberry shortcake for dessert, visited some more than people had to go home.

A few notes: The entire pregnancy with Adlanna I kept dreaming of this little boy so I was pretty convinced that we were having a boy, until a few weeks before our Ultrasound I had a Ultrasound dream that it was a girl, so I was immediatly convinced it was a girl... (convincing dream!)

A few weeks ago I had the ultrasound dream and again a GIRL, so although the majority of this pregnancy I also thought this one was a boy, I changed my mind after this last dream. HA HA
(I mainly thought this one was a boy because it was SO DIFFERENT I was like 100times sicker with this one, but it was always in my mind that maybe it was just because I had cold after cold after cold.)

A little sister will be FUN, A little boy would be fun because we don't have a boy, but a little sister for Adlanna will be a lot of fun too, just think of the clothes they can share, I have all the bows for little girls, I have big sis and lil sis ribbon to make matching sets... it will be fun. I am excited!

Also for interesting sake I had my Ultrasound and found out Adlanna was a girl on April 25th... well today is April 25th... that wasn't planned... But I think it's cool.

VIDEO TO FOLLOW TOMORROW!

The ultrasound: UPDATED

OK, So I have had a lot of questions so i'll clarify. WE have pictures, we have the gender written down in a card to open on Saturday... We were even told he is 90% sure of the gender. (which is the same precentage than with Adlanna, and the same tech) I can't post the pictures because they are all on the same CD so I can't open that CD until I know the gender already... that is why you have to wait until Monday...

The appointment was fun, like always ... To see the heartbeat and the little person in there... However with Adlanna we got her sucking her thumb and moving a lot more, a great profile shot, toes etc. This one kicked once and waved at us once, he or she kept moving his or her face so we didn't get a very good profile shot, I dont think the guy kept the little toe shot, because it happened so fast... anyway I was dissappointed in the shots that he saved for us... But I saw the whole little body and it makes me that much more excited for September to come! When it was time for gender he turned our monitor off so we couldn't see and then did a few pictures at least it sounded like it.. and filled out our card and sent us on our merry way. :)
________________________________________________________________
The post below was me trying out the MOBILE blogging option we were going to snag a photo on the phone for you and send it in while we were still at the hospital, but since the baby's face wasn't working out we didn't get any good shots to send in...

So good news! We just left the hospital... The baby was not letting us get any good pics for you now but check on Monday to see the ones we did get and find out the gender! The baby was hiding so no good profile ... Xoxo

Chris' Fun Run

This past weekend was FULL... I mean like lots of things, busy busy busy!

On Saturday Chris had the first Tractor pull of the year, it was just a fun run to test out the equipment before the first competition pull on May 9th. It was in Washington so it was WARM and nice, we girls sat under a canopy, in camping chairs with snacks and drinks and they even fed us pizza... (who cares if It was Dominoes it was FREE!!) Chris pulled a 52FT pull... and starting this season they changed a rule or two which knocked 2 of the 4 tractors in his weight class into a different class, so his whole competition was 1 tractor. :( Bad news is that he lost... but for his 2nd pull EVER I think it's ok, more practice and we will catch up next pull! At the pull there was this little boy running around that LOVED to flirt with Adlanna, I would say he was 3yrs... she likes them older... but I am not sure she is ready to date... I was totally grossed out by this dirty little boy. At first he was cute, he talked and played with her, and even lifted his shirt to show Adlanna his battle scar *a large scab!* But when he started pulling the scab off and tried to give it to Addie she wasn't impressed, I was so proud of my little girl, she whispered "CUCKA" and hit it out of his hand... GOOD JOB ADDIE! Plus then I didn't have to step in... **Note to self: little boys are GROSS**

Why do I bother putting a bib on??? Daddy took her straight to the tub!

Other accomplishments of the weekend include: Cleaning out my car.. *YEAH!*, cleaning the garage, Playing outback, grocery shopping, going swimming, making 7layer dip, a cheese ball, 4dozen cookies, strawberry shortcake, prepping Chris' lunches for the week (hence so many cookies) & lots of organizing, oh and I can't forget Chris had to take apart my vacumn (AGAIN) to unstuff it so it would suck again... Thanks honey!
Which brings me to a point, I want aDyson animal vac... :) I think i'll start saving and asking for money for holidays so I can someday afford it. :)

shorts were too big
she did not want to keep the swim cover on!

So this comic made me laugh, we had a similar conversation that morning!

On Sunday night the Armstrongs were headed back home from their CA. Vacation so they stopped by and stayed the night, in fact they stayed until about 20min ago. Thanks for the visit guys!!!! It was a lot of fun, and Adlanna loves to play with her cousins. :) (send me the copies of the pics you took britt... in the backyard)

Yeah Wed. is coming so quick I am so excited to see the baby and the heartbeat (*I loved that from last Ultrasound) I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. I saw the most recent POLL results... I didn't know we were so divided!! I wonder who voted for what...

Fun mommy moment

So today Adlanna squatted and Chris saw and ran her to the potty to stink it up. I myself was on the couch and listening, this is what I heard:

Chris shouting "CUCKA"
Adlanna whispering "cucka"
Chris shouting "CUCKA"
Adlanna whispering "cucka"

anyway this continued on for minutes... I think he was trying to get her to say it normally because it's hylerious but she only EVER whispers this word.

Then moments later I hear:

Chris grunting
Adlanna grunting
Chris grunting, and grunting, and grunting.....
Adlanna grunted...

Next thing I know they are both out of the bathroom and nothing happened. :(

Five minutes later she stunk, so Chris took her to change her poop and I hear: Chris "you need to tell us when you go CUCKA, you need to go in the big girl potty" Adlanna whispers "cucka"

I laughed... I got a few good laughs in, and it was a moment to share!!!!

p.s. this isn't as funny as if you were in person and I could grunt for you to explain the humor and i'm thinking you might have had to be there to understand the humor, however I laughed until I cried at Survivors tribal council and the wizard HA HA HA I might be tired!

Easter Weekend 2009

So WOW! We have a lot to tell you!!! (first note that there is a slide show at the bottom with a TON of pics, including the ones I posted, I wanted to break up the text and show some HIGHLIGHTS! that is why there aren't captions.)

So On Saturday we woke up and headed out to New Harmony for the egg hunt. We got there a few minutes before it started, and found Addie's age group. We looked and saw a trail of a lot of eggs under all the trees around the edges, and made our master plan. Daddy grabbed the first egg and showed Adlanna what to do, then she was off grabbing eggs in each hand stuffing them in her sack (mommy forgot the basket!) She would stop and look at each egg and sometimes worry if there were 3 because she only had two hands. HA HA HA

We ran out of eggs under the trees so we headed to the middle of the section under the bench, nobody had dared to reach those eggs yet. Then we saw a random one that had been forgotten and grabbed it across the yard, then we were done. Adlanna got quite the collection of eggs for being younger than half the kids in the section.

We opened all the eggs and got out the prize papers, Adlanna got a doz. chocolate covered marshmellow eggs, and a few toys from burger king... Then we found two coupons for free ice cream from artic circle. YEAH!!! So Cousin Lacie wiggled in the giant crowd to get her prizes for us HA HA HA

Then we headed to Teresas house for Easter lunch, we had sandwhiches and deviled eggs etc. It was yummy! Thanks Larsen family for having us over and feeding us! It was fun because Adlanna just played with all the kids, and us girls read Lacie's missionary's letters. (Mike, he has been gone for 2 months already!, and they are soooo cute together, there will be a pic of them in the slide show after she gets here after school and gives me one!) The boys sat on the couch and talked, and tried taking Lacie's cell phone apart to fix it... It made a trip to the toilet.

After lunch we headed out... I wanted to try to get out of the house and do something and my Aunt Cindy and her family were camping in Zions so we headed out, we had left a few messages on their cells earlier so we went to st. George in the mean time to wait until they called and told us what camp ground they were at exactly. We ran to childrens place outlet where I found some adorable beanies and etc for .49 (I didn't have my phone or I would have called to see if anyone else wanted some) plus there was these 4 lady's blocking the entire path to them I had to sneak in and grab one or two things every few minutes! HA HA HA But these beanies I have bought on clearance for Adlanna before and I paid like 2.99 then, so .49cent is AWESOME! I really went into that store for a belt, since all of her pants wont stay up, because this girl has no butt~ HA HA HA (which I found for 4.19)

We ran to target and a few other random stores in the mall and didn't really buy anything... but we had fun, I think the hardest part (up to this point) was that my belly and back are getting heavy and starting to ache. So then it was like 3pm and time to feed my belly and head to zions. St. George just got a Red Robin so we ate there with freckled lemonaide and yummy food. I was scheduled to take my second phenagren pill at 2, so I needed to eat to take my pill. So I ate my sandwhich snacked on Addies spaghetti, and Chris' fries. We headed out and got in the car before I realized (5pm) that I never took my pill and I had no problems eating anything I wanted in there. Normally without a pill I pick at my food and taste little bites until the third one has to come back out because I know if I swallow it, it is coming back up. YEAH!!!! This was a sign I was starting to feel better and morning sickness was lessening.. YEAH!!!!

These cute books are from Grammy and Grampy Flagg, aren't they cute? The baby on the left is Adlanna and the baby on the right is Bailey (her cousin)

So off to the canyon we went, we had the name of the campground from an old email but didn't have a clue where it was... We stopped and drove through one in Hurricane on the way up the canyon because the name was REALLY close, no sign of them. As we got closer and we called and got instructions on how to find it from an old email that my parents looked up for us, we found it! We pulled through and finally the last street we picked we found Joe (my aunt's brother in law) so we found them. We parked and went to Cindy's trailer to suprise her. SHE WAS SHOCKED. It was fun, we visited for a while and then headed out to go home, it was FREEZING COLD I was shivering BAD!

Sunday morning we woke up and had to have the Easter bunny start hiding things while Adlanna ate, because we didn't want the cats to get into anything the night before. Chris finally agreed for me to rearrange the items in the basket. (he found one he HAD to buy over a month ago for Adlanna and told me I couldn't add or anything. :( ) So I took it apart and added some stuff and had fun, then after breakfast and once everything was hid by the Easter bunny Adlanna got down and started hunting. (she peeked once and saw a egg up high and wanted down right then HA HAH A)

So she found lots of eggs, we did have to help her with a few, but she found her basket too and just needed help getting it out from behind the treadmill. She wanted to pull everything from the hidden basket to put into the basket she was collecting her eggs in, it was funny. She pulled out a bottle pop that Grammy Sherie left for her and made the cutest face, she was excited! Then we opened her toys and dress up items that were in that Basket that Chris loved so much, and let her play (after taking all the chokable parts away since barbies are like for 3yrs and up HA HA)

Then we had family time and watched a few movies throughout the day. We moved the baby gate to just block off the laundry room with kitty litter and let her wander the halls and her room. Daddy also took her outside to play for a little bit while he messed with the sprinklers, she BAWLED when we brought her back in.

One last bit of news. I tried not taking my pills at all on Sunday and I had a few iffy moments but nothing more than what I would have with the pills. (I am down to 2 left before I have to go in for a refill anyway) so yeah!!! We will continue to see what happens over the next few days, but I definatly see the light at the end of the tunnel and am excited that i'm showing signs of being through the morning sickness!~

sorry one more thing. The official decision on what we are going to do with the ultrasounds results. We have invited the grandparents (Chris' and my parents) down for a BBQ on SAT the 25th for a lunchish BBQ to open the card with us. (if the tech says he is 90% sure or higher) We realized more of you may want to come, but since the family can get VERY large quickly, we have decided if anyone wants to be called on speakerphone before we open it, that we can do! OR we can just make phone calls afterwards... or if your not that excited or anxious, then we will post it ASAP. Please leave me a comment if you want to be called on speakerphone or just a call and how you would like to be involved! (Also a random note... I think IF the grandparents (NAncy, Sherie this means you!) wanted to bring the Great grandparents down to the BBQ that would be fine... I imagine GiGi might want to come. but no pressure either way.)

TADA! Well I hope you enjoy the photos... I sure had fun being able to be behind the camera taking them again, and hope to have time to blog and clean and blog book (i'm WAY behind) more and more each day! :) Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers they are deeply appreciated!

BORED wanna see old pics

This may be random

Ok, but I need to write it down.

Sunday night I felt the baby move for the first time, I am so glad I finally can feel the little one because it helps to let me know things are ok, the little worm wiggled for hours, and again last night, until my belly hurt!

I found Adlanna's first freckle on her belly between her belly button and her right side.
We were doing body parts yesterday she knows all the following: hair, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, fingers, hands, feet, toes, belly button, tongue, and FINGERS (this I have never asked but she knew them!) Bum, & she knows eyes but we had to practice that a few times before she remembered. She also now says Fuzzy (when we fuzz her back, or sing fuzzy wuzzy) and she says................... It will come to me, It's another biggger word.
A few days ago I was taking her pj's off and I said "arm out" and she said "arm out" clear as day, it made me laugh. Which is also interesting to note, she pulls her arms and legs out when I tell her to, or puts them in when I tell her to, but If we ask where her arms or legs are, she doesn't know... HEE HEE

I think our Easter plans are to go to New Harmony's egg hunt at the park, it was fun last year, and then we can take a pic of all the cousins again.

Brittany and Greg are headed to California on Friday so we will get to eat brunch or lunch with them!!! Britt be sure to tell me a time, if it's around lunch we can use those Chili's coupons!!!!!!!!

Also I should warn everyone that We will have the ultrasound on Wed the 22nd, but we are prob. not going to know the gender that day. I found a cute way to learn the gender so we are going to have the stranger (because who wants to celebrate in front of a stranger) write the gender in a card we will take in, and then seal it, then we will go to dinner and open it as a family to find out... so that may be a few days later... long story when we decide our for sure plans we will let you know, but we will also make calls AS SOON AS WE KNOW... it just might not be on Wed. but it might. Anyway again, it's undecided.

Also Please email me any of your D names ideas, since Joane is afraid she wants to steal it! HA HA HA Joane your silly.

Love us!

Ultrasounds is on the books!!!!

cute shoes and outfit...

So I am getting nudges to blog. So I will.
the last 3 days the cold has finally started letting up, I still have a runny nose and coughing until I puke, but everything else has gone, and I got that little ounce of energy back. :) Chris is feeling quite well, still has a cough, but good. Adlanna has a cough and a runny nose but you can TOTALLY tell she feels 100% better.

Today I had my OB appointment and got to schedule my Ultrasound... the big day is April 22nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also got crappy news that I have to drink that yucky drink asap (*when I can keep it down) and then again on 28 weeks IF I pass the first test... (since I failed the first time last pregnancy and had to take a 2nd test and NEARLY failed that one... )
The baby's heart beat is 150BPM and the dr. doesn't know what the sharp stabbing pain I am having is... or if it's related at all. :(

I have had some great help over the past few weeks, my mom came down and cleaned my house and we got to swap out all of the TOO small clothes for the TOO big clothes for Adlanna... which is fun, it's like she has a whole new waredrobe... Thanks mom! Then I have had lots of calls from neighbors, girls in the ward, Teresa, and Lisa and we got lots of yummy food from the ward, and Margie even brought a lasagna over last week... Lacey will bring me things after school if I need her too, and it's been a REALLY BIG HELP. Thanks everyone, you know who you are. Yesterday Sherie came down and made us lots of food for freezer meals, so we will have more real food and not just ramen and mac and cheese.. She also brought our Easter gifts, which i'll reveal at a later date. Thanks Sherie
I am still taking the phenagren, I try every few days to see if I need it and when The puking all starts up again I start taking it again...

I have taken a few random pics of Adlanna over the last few days, and i'm getting emails from Britt with the pics she took that week we stayed at her house, I will post as soon as I can.

and this is what she got into when she was not supervised... she was very nice and stuffed them back in the box to use again later.. H A HA HA
Adlanna is cuter than ever, If I cry she comes over and wipes my tears with her pointer finger, she says snack (nak) and juice, and thank you, socks, shoes... I am sure there are more.... She is startin to crouch and grab her diaper when she goes, so that will help with potty training... that we had given up on while I was sick. We ran her to the potty twice yesterday because along with the actions she said Cucka... the first time, she wasn't ready the second time she had already gone... so we should have kept here there longer the first time. *shrug*

Chris is mean... The other night we were watching a show and it ended a little sad, well I was on the verge of BAWLING and he doesn't know, so he says "oh boo hoo, that's so sad" and looks over at me... which made me cry... I totally had it under control until he looked at me... BUTTHEAD, I smacked him and cried for a good 20mins...

We have had fun thinking of baby names, If it's a boy the name needs to start with D, and if it's a girl we have a name picked out. Once we find out the gender we will reveal our thoughts... However WE are seriously lacking ideas in the D deparment for little boys... so any thoughts, ideas suggestions would be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
