A Random note

Adlanna tries to climb up on my lap and anywhere she can get when i'm sitting or laying on the couch... and often she pushes on my tummy and it hurts, so i have been telling her that she has to be soft with mom's tummy because there is a baby in there, and she lifts up my shirt, pets my tummy like she would the cat, kisses it, then pulls my shirt back down. I thought it was too cute not to share.

Draper Temple Open House & Kaylah's 11th B-day

I had a super busy weekend with lots of photos so i know If I don't blog them soon i'll be EVEN more behind. So on Friday we headed up north, we had tickets to go to the Draper Temple open house on Sat morning with Chris' side of the family, about an hour into our drive Sherie called and told us she got us a room at a hotel by the temple, so that was nice. We stopped at my parents house to eat dinner and say hello and let them know we would be back on sat. for the birthday party. We got to the hotel at 9pm. We walked in the front doors at the same time that Cliff, Josie and Bailey did. Our rooms were next to eachother. They all decided to go swimming, but I hadn't packed suits so we stayed home, but Adlanna was fussy it was past her bedtime already and she wasn't in the mood... HA HA. *little did we know there was more teeth poking through*

The next morning we woke up and met Sherie, Cliffs family & Brady's family (Brady is Chris' cousin) for breakfast. Then we packed up and headed out, we got to the church and parked at 9am, which is when our reservations were, we met up with the rest of the family but didn't leave on a bus to the temple until 10:30. The temple was beautiful, lots of beautiful wood and pretty lighting... The outside was pretty too... after the tour they take you to the visitor center for cookies and water, they had a whole wall with pictures of the temples all over the world that was neat to look at and see. We took some family photos with everyone etc then headed back on the bus to the church. While in line for the bus there were protestors that came and stood there with stupid signs...

We got to the car about 12 and all headed out to meet Michelle (chris' aunt) for lunch in Sandy. We went for mexican food. yum. Adlanna was picky like normal and although nice aunt Josie brought her like 30 different things to try from the salad bar, she only ate like 3 things of pineapple.... *thanks Josie for trying!*

Then we headed outside where when your with family you hang out and talk forever even though your frreeeeezing!!! We took more pictures because this side of the family is camera happy. HEE HEE and then we packed up and left once we noticed it was 2pm and the birthday party was at 3pm about an hrs drive away. So we left and headed there.

These pics were all taken with Josie's camera... I forgot mine in the car.

We got there just in time as the doors were opening and people where being let in. It was a gymnastics place in Lindon. The party was for Kaylah's 11th birthday party. (Kaylah is my neice) It was really fun, they had a toddler area, that was fun for the little ones. All the other kids ran wild across the entire gym which was huge!!! I so badly wanted to jump in the foam pit but didn't think I had the energy to climb back out, after chasing Adlanna through the temple for 4 hrs... Maybe next time I won't be preggo.

Then after the party we all went out for Kaylahs birthday dinner she picked joes crab shack. She was wearing a shirt all day from there that said "Bringing crabby back" and if you know my neice (she agrees) that the shirt fits her perfectly!!! Chris got coconut shrimp which I LOVE... Adlanna got pizza and applesauce and I got shrimp alfredo, with cocktail shrimp on the side. YUM... Adlanna ate more of my noodles then I did, but I was glad she was eating after not eating for lunch. In the car on the ride home my dad sat next to Adlanna and she hugged him and kissed him like 30 times and told him that she loved him over and over and over again it was dang cute.

Sunday we had to run errands before returning home... we had to get diapers from costco and I found a easter dress for Adlanna there too, then we stopped and ordered Chris' work boots and then headed out. It was the longest most miserable 3.5 hr drive I have ever been on, and once we got home I took adlanna in changed her diaper and mid change i had to holler for Chris to come make sure she didn't fall off the changing table because I had to run to the bathroom.. :( It wasn't fun!

p.s. I forgot to mention on Valentines day Adlanna got a package from Bailey. It was a big box full of toys and candy, and party favors and books and crayons and more toys. It was awesome. I meant to take a picture before she pulled everything apart and started playing with it all, but that didn't happen. She loved the slinkys so much they are warped into wierd shapes, she drives the little car around the kitchen floor (we have been meaning to get her little cars to push around she loves grammy sheries so much) and she keeps trying to use the crayons but mommy wont let her yet. (we need a giant coloring book first!) THANKS BAILEY ... (Cliff & Josie)

Valentines 2009

see Britt the bruise is gone and she fell head first out a window of her playhouse and burned her forehead TWO spots there now all scabbed up... one after another.

Adlanna has a second whole vday outfit that i didn't get a pic of before she made a mess of it.

So I don't feel too hot but I am going to try to get through this to post some pictures since its been forever since I have! THEY ARE IN THE WRONG ORDER SORRY!!!
I wanna say HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN-DAVID TUCKER LODEN!!!!!! Who turned one today!!!

Ok, so Valentines day I felt well enough to leave the house, I found out early that Chris didn't even realize it was a holiday so I immediatly didn't expect anything.. I wasn't mad maybe a little bummed since I didnt feel well I was hoping for something fun to cheer me up. So I told Chris to get Adlannas present out and he gave her a love bug, it is the cutest softest cuddelyest thing ever!!! She loved it. Around lunch I told him since he had nothing planned I would like to buy him dinner since I didn't feel like making it, and he loves sticky fingers from wingers. So We ran around and got Wingers for him, KFC mashed potatoes & gravy(that I normally hate but was CRAVING) for me and some cheesecake and tres leches cake for dessert. While we were in Lins the bakery offered a free doz doughtnuts so we got those too...

We got home and ate yummy food (thank heavens this was a day I could eat) and enjoyed ourselves. Adlanna got a chocolate glazed doughtnut for dessert and she loved it! Then a few hours later after Chris asking if it really was valentines today and how he forgot and he was sorry he didn't have anything and asking me if I was mad, he disapeared and came back in with his arms behind his back. I knew it had been a joke then, but here I am all dissapointed ALL day long and he waits until after dinnertime to tell me it was a joke. RUDE **anyone wanna mention to him that's not nice, please do!!!**

He bargained a kiss in exchange for what was behind his back then showed me it was this cute little bee planter. So cute and fits so well in my kitchen. :)

Anyway We are headed up north tonight *crossing my fingers driving isn't as bad as it was with Adlanna* so we will see MOST of you tomorrow!!!

XOXOXO

food for thought friday:

MAGIC BARS
Ingredients:
shredded coconut
chocolate chips
sweetned condensed milk
grahm crackers smashed
butter

So crunch up some grahms enough to cover the bottom of a bar pan for a crust, mix in a fewTBS of melted butter to get it to stick.
Spread chocolate chips and Chris and I often add PB chips or toffe chips to add to it but its not necessary. Then pour on the milk and spread with coconut. Bake in the oven until the coconut starts to brown. :) YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Chris made these for me when he was preposing he took them on the picnic at the temple. So this dessert I don't make.. he does because it's my special treat... and they are GONE fast!!!

Cold update

So We are all still alive. IT has been MISERABLE but we are alive. We never got any positive results from our tests so we aren't sure what bug we had BUT it was deadly... at least it made you want to die. IT started out as a chest cold a really hard cough... and your whole body is achey like you worked out at the biggest loser ranch, then a headcold all stuffed up and phlemy and feeling like your head is going to explode then that is gone its just back to the chest cold. Which I might add is really hard being prego. Because coughing= gagging and gagging= puking... I think I have already managed to puke more than my entire pregnancy with Adlanna... your body just learns what to do and makes it a habit. NOT FUN~!

Anyway... i'm glad it's almost over. Chris recovered much quicker.. he had medicine for 1. and 2. he is a big tough guy and his body is a rock!!! He has had some good daddy daughter bonding time with Adlanna... he takes her out in the garage while he is working so I can nap and he just straps Addie in the stroller and gives her a snack and gets stuff done... it's been really nice that she didn't catch it.. that would have been even worse... she still has moments with these two canine teeth that cause her to be fussy but who wouldn't!?!?

Ok so an update with her she says shoes, she said cracker and she now will tell you what an Elephant, cow, cat, dog, lion, duck and daddy says with no prompts. It's adorable! She is very smart she understand when we tell her we are going to be right back and leave her to return later to a happy girl, instead of screaming because she didn't understand when we said we would be right back... before.. I have pics and a story about Vday but i'll save that for later, I don't think I can sit here for that long.

But things are looking better at least the cold is mostly out of the way... it will still be a few weeks before morning sickness is gone (hopefully) and I still have coughing and gagging issues until my chest is clear... but believe me it's BETTER.

hope your all doing well and no one catches this cold, I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy!!!
XOXOXO

In case any of you were wondering

Yeah I thought I was on my death bed a day or two ago. Chris caught something from work and brought it home, so He has been home sick... (which means he is really really sick... and whiney) Adlanna has new teeth and is just laying around and cuddleing and on top of morning sickness I have the terrible cold too. We all have been to the dr. where they did some tests, no results yet, but most anything I can't take medicine because it could harm the fetus... and Adlanna is at risk of catching it, so cross your fingers and say a little prayer she stays healthy and we can all survive this. Thanks to Teresa and some homemade chicken noodle soup yesterday was a better day, but it still takes all the energy I have to sit up for 5min. :( so i'm going to lay back down.
XOXOX

Food for Thought Friday & Fun Updates!

Learning how to use the sit n spin she got for christmas. I didn't think she would know what to do, but she hoped on and started spinning... She even found a button that sings Doras theme song and just screams along with it. It's awesome!

So it's been a busy week and exciting!!! I was sick off and on, Today I feel GREAT!!! Lacie my sweet neice even brought my craving body some yummy lunch... Lacie YOUR THE BEST!
I have been pulling out baby stuff and seeing what I have to make... blankets bibs burps etc. Also bows because I want Addie to have a really cute bow for Vday. I was going to make a blanket or two for her for the holiday but my machine is wiggin out, so a bow will have to do! Anyway!!!
Adlanna is so cute she is loving to dress up... in our shoes... she can't seem to keep Chris' on her little foot, but if she puts her boot on then his shoe it stays... and she walks around its hylerious! We only got pics of her with my mismatched shoes... hmmm must take after her mom!

she was STUCKShe kicked them off all annoyed!! HEE HEE

She also is great at pretending, she carries around a spoon and a little toy which she uses as a bowl and scoops food out to feed me, dad, herself, the baby doll, the cat. anyone who will pretend to eat it. HA HA HA sometimes she shoves the spoon IN YOUR MOUTH HARD because she really wants you to taste it... I laugh! If she is hungry and you ask if she wants food, or if she is done and you ask if she is done, she nearly screams YEAH!! it's so darn cute. I can't get over how darn cute she really is!!!

For journals purposes Bailey turns 1 on Sunday HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAILEY! And Joane found out she is having another Boy !!! Congrats guys!!!

See the lips? this is my windsheild and the kissy lips that Chris left for me
Adlanna's first car test drive
She did escape and had to be put up in the cart instead... man it was a pain pushing a car around the store when the kid was in the cart like normal! :(
