Happy Halloween 2009

So last week Chris took Thursday and Friday off work, they are slow and his boss doesn't mind a paying a small check, and we wanted to have some time jup north to shop for a mini van before the weekend and since all the good ones were on KSL.com and not in Cedar. Then on Wednesday Chris got home from work at 10am because of the snow in Brianhead/Mammoth Creek, so we headed up at 1pm. We hit some serious snow in Beaver county which delayed the drive and we arrived at Brittanys house at 8pm. :( 3hr drive was a 7hr drive :(

Thursday and Friday we drove around looking at vans and finally got to test drive one on Friday. It was a waste of time though, not worth what the lady was asking. Anyway, I was getting frusterated that there wasn't anything really even what we were looking for so it was hard to keep looking. Nice Aunt Brittany watched Adlanna every time we went out and even watched Jennalee the one test drive we took on Friday. We had arranged to cook dinner for the family on Friday night at 7pm, so at 12 when we found a new one listed 10min earlier on KSL that seemed to be exactly what we wanted (first time I was excited!) We scheduled to go see it at 4pm so we could be back in time. We took it for a test drive and pulled over at the nearby smiths to check all the little things, windows, doors, seats, etc etc etc... I think we were parked there for over an hour. (Good thing Jenna was fed and happy!) When we took it back we decided we wanted it so the negotiating began. We walked about spending 100.00 more dollars then we wanted, but we were still VERY excited!

Saturday we were going to get up and go to HEE HAW farms, but it was WAY too cold, so we cancelled that. The boys went over to mom and dads to clean the red car, while I put it up for sale on ksl. and to work on Greg's truck that has had a few problems passing imissions and inspections and was due in Oct. After the vehicles were done we ran up to see the great grandparents... none of them had seen Jennalee and we wanted to show off costumes since we usually stay in CC for Halloween and no one gets to see the costumes. We ended up not dressing them up since it was WAY hot that day and they would have melted in the car, Jenna was pretty pukey so I didn't want to ruin the costume before Trick or treating and it was a lot of work to dress them undress them and redress them etc... to layer up for the cold night. So a plain visit is what we did. We started the furthest away and stopped at Great Grandma Lou's house, then Grandma Gayles (Greg's mom) then grabbed some food and then it was suppose to be Grandma Ross' but it was dark and late and we were going to miss out on trick or treating so we went back to my parents house to change clothes.

We got there all swapped into the costumes, took these pics, then ran out the door.

Kaylah was a devil, Jaiden was a phantom, Adlanna was a leopard, Danika was FOOFA, and Jennalee was a giraffe.

As you can see Jenna and I made it around my parents circle but she was freaking out, she was fussy! So we took her to my mom to babysit so I could walk around the rest of the neighborhood with the gang.

One house on my parents street had a claw game they gave you tokens to play until you won something, Adlanna won two items!!!

Overall we didn't get to do a lot of trick or treating, my ears were freezing so I was ok with it, and I am sure Adlanna didn't know any better, but because we were late a few doors ran out of candy and closed up shop. I think the older kids were dissappointed! Thanks Armstrong family for letting us tag along and join your halloween traditions. Thanks Ross parents for watching Jennalee.

Sunday morning we ran up to grandma ross' and cindy's house to say hello, and then ran home to pick up the red car and go home. We got on the road about 4:45 and made it to Delta around 6pm. We ate some yummy dinner trick or treated and showed the baby off to Grampy Doug and great grampy skeezie, then headed out like 8:30pm, yeah with the time change it was 11:30 when we got home which was really 12:30... SO TIRED.

Here are the pics of the minivan, it's a dodge grand caravan, it's a blueishgreen color. It is spacious and has been wonderful so far! So anyone knows someone who wants a little car that gets 28-36mpg let us know! (It is a 2003 Toyota Matrix with 75,000miles is all)
The previous owner of the van owns Cannon moturary and so we joke that dead bodies have been in it, but they said they used it to run the flowers back and forth. :)

Monday we ran and got the van inspected and registered, then Chris had to run up to the Brianhead job to check on it so we tagged along. Then we ran to homedepot for samples of siding to order for the shed, to Ace hardware for some stuff for my ribbon flowers, and to pickup and cash his check. Then we ran back to homedepot to order the right color siding (tumbleweed) and to grab groceries at walmart (where Addie fell out of the cart) After walmart i ran into Walgreens I had money that was going to expire, and got a bunch of stuff and in the end they paid me .50cents.. if you count the rebate i'll get then i'll make two more dollars.

We got home in time to eat dinner (late) and to get the kids in bed. So it's been a busy busy busy week!
