Thanksgiving weekend King Style
Wednesday We left Cedar City and headed out to Eagle Mountain. We arrived around 9pm and got unpacked. Thursday we had arranged to join the Jensen group (chris' moms side of the family) for a small get together, So off to Springville we went, I left the camera in the car, but Julie had hers so i'll post her pics when I get them! :) The kids had fun playing with eachother, Heidi and Adlanna just copied eachother for hours,, up and down the stairs over and over and over again, It was exhausting just to watch! Thanks Jensen crew it was fun!
Thursday night we were invited up to my sister Brittany's Inlaw's party. So we went to Kim and Seans new house. It was big and beautiful and tucked away on a cute little street. We got there late because we had to pull over and change and feed the baby, but it was still fun to see everything and join them for dessert! Thanks Kim and Sean and Armstrongs for Inviting us!!
I will also add that all day Thanksgiving day Adlanna was in big girl panties even with the different loacations etc... she didn't have an accident until like 6pm at Kim and Sean's house...
YEAH big girl!
Friday morning we had family pictures so we ran and had those taken in American fork- when I get my CD with my images i'll show you all! Cross your fingers they turned out amazing! Then we had to run get groceries and finish making our assigned items for Thanksgiving dinner with my family. We started assembling snickers salad, oriental chicken salad and magic bars (well Chris had those done already) when we got back to Britt's. Adlanna was down for her nap and after we finally heard she was awake and we were done assembling food items, we went in to find out that Adlanna had found Kaylah's makeup stash and colored the matteress... pink lipstick and gold nail polish was the medium of her choice :(
So we spent a good hour or two or three trying to figure out what gets lipstick out... and still failed! So we were late to dinner... (sorry everyone) We did finally make it to my parents house and ate some yummy food... I ate too much!
Saturday we had to run pick up Adlanna's last Christmas present.... then we ran a few more errands and then back to the house to help get stuff from the Armstrongs storage for the upcoming baby. Then we ran up to SLC to meet up with Sherie and the other King family to do dinner. We met at the Gateway mall and ate at applebee's then ran and got dessert at the rocky mountain chocolate factory. The plan was to go to temple square to see the lights, which Chris and I haven't done since we have been engaged, plus I thought It would be nice to see the Christus with Adlanna... but She had been up LITERALLY ALL night the night before at first I thought it was because of a bad dream then she kept falling asleep and jolting back awake so it seemed like after she finally got rid of the dream she was too tired to sleep, she was screaming and crying so much she was gagging because of the dry throat, so the next day she had a cough, I thought was from the crying and screaming, but then a SUPER runny nose all day long, I think we went through an entire tissue box in an hour! (just ask GREG) So we didn't think walking around outside to look at lights would be a smart idea in case it was a cold. AND the next night was the same and she kept coughing and kept having a runny nose and she stopped eating so yeah she is sick :(
Sunday we had the baby blessing, we did it up at Chris' grandma's ward we figured a lot more family we be able to make it if we did it up there. AND who wouldn't want to be blessed in the JSMB it's freaking amazing! Sacrament was good, I have to Thank Josie for sharing treats with Adlanna and coloring supplies to help keep her busy, the baby struggled, she needed to eat before the meeting, but I could not locate a nursing room or anything in time, so we blessed her then I snuck her out to nurse her, I ended up standing in the bathroom stall to nurse, then I took her back in where she filled her pants, so I went back out to change her bum and she had leaked all over her onesie and dress, so she had to get back into jammies for the rest of the day, which totally ruined the fancy pics I was going to take of her in her dress on a fancy chair in the JSMB (Joseph Smith Memorial Building) So I will try to get her all dressed up again and take pics soon! As I carried her naked body out to the stroller to get her jammies, she puked all over my dress... *sigh*
Afterwards we went back to Grandma's house and ate some yummy food. Thanks again to Josie who seemed to book it back and started immediatly setting up the food, so we could all eat. Then we passed the baby around and ate some good food, (thanks to all who came and brought things to share!) and visited, and attempted to get a picture of all the grandkids LOL
We headed out shortly after 3pm and landed back at my sisters house to pack up and then to my parents house where we barged in and ate thanksgiving leftovers before getting in the car at 8pm and heading back to CC. :)
Today I woke with a sore throat and a stuffy nose, and Jenna has acted fussy so I dont know if she's just getting back into her schedule or what, but she has watery eyes, and it seems to be a bit more mucus then normal, but maybe i'm paranoid.
Thanks Sherie for taking pictures while i was too busy at the blessing! :)
Thanks again to all those who made it to the blessing and helped bring food and support our little family, we missed all of those who couldn't make it, maybe next time!
