Spring/ Summer
naughty puppy!
The other weekend we went shopping in st. George 1. to get out of the house and 2. to get a few things we needed. It was warm and sunny and just wonderful, it smelled like summer and the girls really enjoyed being outside we walked the outlet stores and ate some rocky mountainn chocolate, and had a GREAT time!!!
Jenna did great for the first time sitting up in the stroller!!
That night we came home and had a picnic outside in the backyard! The next morning we had snow :(
Easter Craft time
Jennalee poor thing caught mommy's cold, right when I was starting to feel better she got goopy eyes and started barking like a seal... the fever passed quickly so that was good, but the cough lingered a bit too long. She also popped two bottem front teeth!!! WOW that's like two months earlier than Adlanna did.... and she was terrible just up every 1.5hrs screaming and it was so sad, broke my heart. Good news is that she can fall asleep anywhere now.
So glad that's over..
Adlanna and I got a Easter craft and made these fun eggs to hang on the tree... she enjoyed every minute of it and had fun learning all by herself how to get the stickers off the paper and onto the eggs. :) I did most of the words since they were pretty complicated.
The other random photos are us having fun with hair! Adlanna has long fine hair like her mommy and Jenna has lots of thick short hair like daddy... :) it's funny how they each got different things lets write down some more.
Addie has daddys' eyelashes,
Jenna has daddy's eyebrows
Addie has daddys bubble butt
Addie is built a little more like her daddy
Jenna is built a little more like mommy
Both had daddys BIG dark blue eyes
Both have mommys lips
LOL
Also the outfit Jenna is in is the one outfit I was super excited to buy Jenna before she was born, it was so dang cute!! Too bad she wasn't in a good mood to model it, it was bedtime!!!
Adlanna is growing up
Adlanna does silly things these days, she will be eating a sandwhich and dead stop to show you it's in the shape of something yesterday it was a mountain, the other day it was a horse. LOL
Silly girl!
Silly girl!
Trip up north and taxes
I know I know i'm super behind... i'm trying to catch up!!!
We had to go up north to get our taxes done on the 19th, Our tax guy was super booked so we had to schedule in advance like months, and the first opening was March 13th, but if we were going to wait that long the next weekend was my sister Brittany's 30th birthday and my brother Braxton's 20th birthday, so we waited one more week so we could sort of celebrate with them.
It was awesome! I had a recipe due and a review for Curious Chef products so we took all that up north and made a Chicken pot pie with all the items we were given for Adlanna to test and review. :) Looks like she had fun doesn't it?
Brittany wanted to go out to sushi for her birthday dinner so her friends and Chris and I went too. Thanks mom and dad for babysitting the little ones! We went to Mikado where I tested a few different sushi rolls one that I ordered actually was my favorite and one of the favorites at the table and I think about it often :) HEE HEE Chris got some teriyaki steak thing and didn't want to try any of the sushi... even the fully cooked kind!
Braxton's birthday wasn't until the following tues so he waited and had a bbq that tues. with his friends but we really dont buy presents for the older adults anyway... and yes is 20 that makes him an adult, so we missed his celebrations but we still love you Braxton!!!
We finally got our taxes done after realizing we freaking (I) forgot the w2 of chris' so we guessed all those numbers and put in the rest like my bow business and write off's and bank interest etc etc etc and had to go home not really knowing what our return would be... so that did stink, but o'well as soon as we got home we ran and faxed the w2 up to the guy and he called the next day with our number... YEAH for tax returns!!! Too bad more than half goes right out the door when we get it.

Our AZ roadtrip
So some of you know Chris has been working in AZ mon 4am to Thursday night dark for 5 weeks in a row now (not this week actually) AND I was going nuts... seriously being a single mom all week long with two kiddos was getting overwhelming, not to mention my bows are busy and the house is way behind now. :(
So we decided to take a trip to AZ to spend time with daddy and save him a trip. We had it scheduled that Braxton my brother would come down on Thursday and we would head up to spend that night with chris the weekend and come home monday. Well I got sick a few days before and was so weak and wobbly I didn't know if I could drive that far with two kiddos screaming in the car.... so we postponed, a few days later I felt better so on Sat morning Braxton headed down and we headed out, because of the weather we actually didn't get going until like 3pm so it put us there at dark... A waste of a day and a hotel fee but o'well it was OUT OF THE HOUSE!
That night in the hotel Chris had trouble sleeping because of his sinuses and was up and down all night which kept me awake since we were on a full size bed together... not to mention there was a small tornado going through the canyon and I felt like the roof was going to blow off and kept visulizing the window shattering in on Jenna. Seriously that next morning the windows were blown in on the hotels office. :(
Sunday morning we drove to the rocks and took all these pictures, Adlanna and Braxton had a good time together playing and becoming best buds. It was a bit windy for Jenna so she got put back in the car, and that should explain the hoodies etc...
Then we went on our way to the bridge to see if we could see condors, of course it was too cold so they weren't out flying! We thought about running off track and going into the canyon to see the colorado river again, but decided it was too windy.
We got to page and the girls were sleeping so we stopped at the Horseshoe bend hiking trail and sent the boys on their way, just as they were leaving Adlanna woke so she went with them, she walked the whole time!
Jenna and I napped in the car because that's how great I was really feeling.
Then we ran into town after the hike was over and ran to walmart to get some medicine I wanted to some mucinex but wanted to make sure that was something I could take while nursing. So we ran to walmart to ask the pharmacist... not realizing it was sunday and they weren't open. So then we ran to a pharmacy that WAS open so I could really get some advice so I ended up getting it and some sudefed neither of which really helped...
We ran and saw Chris job site and we unloaded at the hotel, we drove down to take the tour of the damn but all the tours had ended for the day. So we just looked around and had some fun there together.
We headed home and went out to dinner at the floating restraunt on lake powell... didn't take my camera but it was pretty cool.. You had to take a golf cart thing down to the restruant on docks and then get a ride back up. We had some yummy food and headed back to the hotel to relax. By this time I was in a lot of pain with my ear hurting immensly and couldn't hear out of my left ear AT ALL
Monday morning Braxton, the girls and I went to Dennys for breakfast and ate some good stuff.. I am a fan of Denny's! We then ran and drove around town to see the different view points of Lake Powell since it cost 25.00 to drive down to it we just checked out the viewpoints, he had never seen the lake before. AND the girls fell asleep so we just prolonged their naps.
At lunch we took Chris a starbucks and checked out the job, he was ripping up ashfalt to put in a water line it was fun to watch!
We hung out at the hotel some more and when chris called we met him at the mexican restraunt for dinner by this time my ear was killing me so bad I had a hard time doing anything, my jaw felt so tight I didn't get one single bite of my food that I had been craving forever and still crave mexican! Seriously it hadn't hurt like that earlier or I would have went into the clinic there in town, so after dinner we decided to stop at the clinic to see if i could get some meds I was sure i had an ear infection... it was closed of course so my other option was the ER and although I wanted to like 90% I knew we couldn't afford it not having insurance so I jst bawled and went home to try some ear drops and things we had already been using for a few days that obviously weren't helping.
Chris took tuesday morning to arrange another co-worker to take over the last of his job since I was sick he wanted to take me home and to the dr. and make sure I could get in and take care of the girls etc... So we headed home and arranged a dr. appointment within the hour. I went in and WAHLA!!!
5 medicines later (and still taking them) I am feeling better... the dr said my ears were so enflammed that they swelled up together blocking sound so that's why i couldn't hear... and something about puss i'll spare you the details. So on some antibiotics, numbing drops, some sinus meds and some anti inflammatorys and here I am a week and a half later and feel about 80%. The cough that kept me up all night upon night upon night and made me want to puke my guts out finally calmed down and let me sleep that was so nice.
Thanks Braxton for coming with us, sorry i was sick and ruined some of it, but I hope you had fun! Adlanna just cried when Bracken left she loves him and I think they really bonded on this trip!
